life in the unemployed and lonely lane

So it has been almost one year since my husband of 21 years married 24 years together ended. I would love to report that it has been a year of great success and happiness. But that would be a lie. It has been a year of stress, poverty and loneliness, punctuated by a couple of failed relationships ending due to schedule for one and mid life crisis by another.

I have been looking for work and have sent out hundreds of resumes.

I hate baby boomers.

I like my apartment, but if one more person says, "you just have to learn to love yourself and being alone" I will throttle them!

I am an extrovert! My preference is people. Being alone makes me sleepy :P Sort of how being around tons of people make introverts tired.

Anyway, I have been sick with a cold, tired and still looking for work.

I have a mantra I have been chanting over and over again in my head: If you want something you have never had do something you have never done.

Those are the words I am living by now as best as I can.

Rants later...
